New series: Mallorca’s fantastic diving areas

For all those who have to stay at home at the moment and can only dream of diving, SCUBANAUTIC.com presents the diving paradise Mallorca in a new series.

Mallorca is one of the most beautiful diving areas in the Mediterranean.

Many who only think of mass tourism and Magaluf in Mallorca are often surprised when they see the Mediterranean island for the first time underwater. In fact, Mallorca is one of the most interesting diving areas in Mare Nostrum thanks to many nature parks and nature reserves. The Mallorcan government has done a great job in recent years to protect Mallorca’s nature and preserve it for future generations.

Especially protected areas such as the islands “Dragonera”, “Cabrera” or the nature reserves on the east coast of the island such as the “Reserva Marina de Levant” north of Font de Sa Cala offer top-class diving experiences.

But that’s not all. Anyone who has ever dived in the middle of a swarm of hundreds of barracudas in the Dragonera Natural Park or at El Toro, or discovered the scorpion fish on a night dive, will soon no longer be surprised at the constant encounters with octopuses, carpet rays, groupers, moray eels, Conger eels, Bear crabs, hermit crabs and crawfish.
